THE BROKEN BLUE MACHINE
The Conservatives will follow Andrew Scheer into the 2019
election, after the young Saskatchewan MP won an upset victory at the party’s leadership convention in Toronto Saturday night. So read the headlines of most newspapers…
Andrew WHO!!!
Really!!! Who is this Andrew Scheer? Who ever heard of him? You got to recognize when you are beaten and left for dead… The Liberal Party in my opinion got it right. During the last Federal election. They had no one in their stable of possible candidates that stood any chance of winning. So what did the Liberals do… revive a dead horse. The Trudeau brand was once again brought to the Canadian political spot light.
The Liberals put their bets on a dead horse written by a pretty boy with no real experience at anything. Just that his last name was Trudeau.
And much like Trump won the U.S. election on name recognition. Trudeau was crowned King of Canada.
A man that lived as the prince of Canada for years in the shadows of his father Pierre Trudeau. A man that revolutionized Canadian politics and gave the Liberal party a point of reference.
A point of reference that made his brand stand out as the champion of the people.
Like really… Who is doing the thinking for the conservatives? Do you really think that this Andrew Scheer has a chance?
Really…. Do you not think that Jagmeet Singh the upcoming NDP candidate could win? With the huge population of South/East and Central Asia population in Canada? Do you not think that this is the trojan horse awaiting on the side lines to truly change the face of Canadian
politics?
Really, nose bleed Andrew who… Poster boy for Wonder Bread is going to take out King Trudeau or stand a chance against the huge East/South Asian population in Canada?
Really… First question.
Who does Andrew appeal to? The conservative party? What party?
The conservative following? Where were they during the last election?
If I was at the helm of the conservative party I would have brought back Preston Manning to resurrect the conservative party. There is a candidate with a solid name and one that truly worked for the betterment of Canadians at large. A man that built a party from grass roots only to be taken out by the conservatives greed. Ernest Preston Manning, PC CC AOE is a conservative Canadian politician. He was the only leader of the Reform Party of Canada, a Canadian federal political party that evolved into the Canadian Alliance.
Sad to see this exceptional candidate not recognized for his true potential and shun out for being a one man show.
Something Canada truly needs. We do not need the NDP to strong arm us into the possible acceptance of Sharia law. We can’t afford to keep spending money we don’t have through the Liberals sponsorship of refugees and foreign aid to save the globe.
Come on people. We need true leadership. We need someone that is not about the party but about the hard working Canadian that struggles to pay his/her bills. To the Canadian that can’t afford the simplest of necessities. To the middle class families that work like modern day slaves to give their children an adequate way of life.
The best the conservatives could come up with is this “YES” man Andrew. Are you kidding me? Maybe Trump is right. The system is broken and the swamp of greed and pathetic politics needs to be exposed. Much as he is doing in the U.S. Go Trump Go. Invade Canada please before we are invaded from within.

The Doctor Game

By W. Gifford-Jones M.D.
Do I Get a Flu Shot?
Sir William Osler, one of the world’s great doctors, suggested a treatment for the common cold. He said, “Hang your hat on the bedpost, go to bed, start sipping whisky, and stop when you see two hats!” He was stressing humorously that there wasn’t any sure treatment for the common cold. Now, during the flu season, I’m often asked if I get a flu shot. But there’s a big difference between a cold and the flu. So read this column with reservation, and remember I am not your doctor.
Albert Szent-Gyorgyi received the Nobel Prize in 1937 for his research on vitamin C. At the time vitamin C could only be extracted from adrenal glands and massive amounts of orange juice.
Life Extension, a medical publication, reports that, as we age, our blood and immune cells contain lowered amounts of vitamin C. This can have a major effect on a number of diseases.
For instance, diabetes patients and those suffering from gastritis show one half the normal amount of vitamin C in their blood. Cancer and arthritis patients one third the amount, and following a traumatic accident or a surgical operation, vitamin C levels can drop to as low as 10 percent!
So it’s vital to have sufficient amounts of vitamin C in the blood at all times to energize the immune system. Why? Because immune cells have vitamin C transporter molecules embedded in their membranes, and these actively pump C into cells when more is required.
It’s hard to believe that, when infection or surgery occurs, transporter molecules ensure that immune cells have as much as 100 X more vitamin C as normal in the blood. But this transfer isn’t possible unless the blood always has a big reservoir of C.
Never forget this fact as this reservoir can be life-saving. For instance, vitamin C can reduce the incidence of pneumonia by as much as 80 percent. This is important as the death rate from pneumonia in elderly people is 16 percent, even with the use of antibiotics! And flu kills thousands of people annually in North America.
Studies show that 23 percent of North Americans have low levels of vitamin C, affecting their immune system. Researchers say that unexplained fatigue may be due to vitamin C deficiency. And skin infections, such as boils, can be helped by even a small dose of 1,000 milligrams of C daily. And older people are particularly at risk of cancer as the immune system ages.
Dr. Linus Pauling, a Nobel Prize winner, reported that high doses of vitamin C could prevent colds. Now, a new study shows that 1,000 mg. of C decreases the risk of a cold by 50 percent in soldiers and athletes undergoing heavy stress. And research also shows that high doses of C can even decrease the risk of heart attack.
So I don’t get a flu shot. But why? 19 years ago I suffered a severe coronary attack. I knew of Pauling’s research so I decided to take 10,000 milligrams of Medi-C Plus, a high dose of vitamin C available in health food stores, rather than risk the many potential complications of cholesterol-lowering drugs.
So my blood is always loaded with C. This means my immune cells can obtain adequate amounts of C if I suddenly develop a cold, the flu or other viral diseases such as meningitis or encephalitis. Big C will also help if I face the stress of surgery. And I have not had a cold for years.
I also realize that, as a senior, I need to maintain a high level of immunity for unexpected stress as getting old is a dangerous disease.
So what should you do? Remember, how I treat myself is one thing. You should take the advice of health authorities and your family doctor, realize that the flu virus kills, and get a flu shot. But it’s also prudent to have high amounts of vitamin C in the blood at all times for added immunity protection.

THE AMERICAN DREAM IS ALIVE

by Joe Ingino

Donald Trump will be the new President of the United State of America. The people have voted and they voted in an outsider.
A business person with real business ideas and experience.
How refreshing. How inspirational and how reasuring it is to every red blooded American that wakes up in the morning and goes to work and hopes for a better life. Donald Trump has shown the world that the ‘AMERICAN DREAM’ is alive and well. Donald Trump withstood a barage of controversy and personal attacks and at the end came out victorious. Attacks from a corupt establishment. From a putrid society. Trump’s win should be a marker for all hard working people. For all students and children. That hard work pays off. Donald Trump has proven that if you stand tall through all cotroversy and negativity that the reward of success is bitter sweet.
Personally I think the man is a genious. He managed to manipulate CNN to give him 24/7 coverage. He managed to get into peoples minds as everyone was talking about ‘Trump this Trump that’, only to come to the realization that every time someone made a comment or developed an opinion. Trump was slowly winning the mass populations psychic. People do not realize the power of the media in direct response to the affects of their personal psychology.
I have never ever witness such orchastrated political campaign as this one. For this I give Trump two thumbs up as he truly has mastered the art of mass mind control.
Look at the facts. He broke every Republican record for attendance and support. He at one point managed to dismantle the Republican party and clearly filter out those in the party that were establishment oriented. He managed to weed out those in the party that had personal agendas and conquer without their support. Including the head of the party.
Trump not only won the election but now has control over the Senate, congress and house. Talk about amazing and he practically did it single handed, using his own money to boot.
The Democrats with noses in the air were predicting that if Hillary would have won… that the ‘DEPLORABLES’ red kneck supporters of Trump would take to the streets. The Democrats attempted to treat Trump supporters as second class citizens. Talk about irony. Look at who are taking to the streets? Where is Hillary out at these clearly social disobedience protests calming the crowds or denounncing their actions. Hillary is no where to be found. Hillary is packing and movign her wealth to Switzerland as she sees the sunami of legal problems to be coming her way. From the FBI blundered investigation to the Clinton Foundation schemes.
Trump would be a fool to let her go. Make her an example to anyone in office to assure they do not compromise the integrity of the U.S. government. Many have lost a lot more for a lot less. Why was Clinton allowed to go without prosecution?
I believe that the United States is at eve of great change. Change that will ‘Drain the Swamp’ of the corporate filth that lines the bottom and self interest politicians pockets. Change that will take control of wall street and assure that the playing field is even and fair. Change that will clearly put America first when it comes to trade. No more corporations looking to make a quick buck while holding American consumers hostage in pay or else schemes compromising American jobs. Change that will once in for all cut all this sensitive talk with hostile lands. Put the boots to Iran once in for all. No more negotiating with people that want us dead. Take the boots to Iran, the negotiating stopped when they took our people as hostages 20 years ago. No more liberating countries at huge cost, but instead conquer and benefit from the effort. No more sacrifices without renumeration. No more NATO members FREE rides. It is time to draw the line in the sand and say enough is enough and make America Great.

“I live a dream in a nightmare world”

TO CARD OR NOT TO CARD THIS IS THE DILEMMA
The media has given Peel Region quite a beating over it’s practice of CARDING. Carding, which is officially known as the Community Contacts Policy, is an intelligence gathering policy of the Toronto Police Service involving the stopping, questioning, and documenting of individuals when no particular offense is being investigated.
The big question is why is carding such an issue in a municipality like Peel? Secondly why are people wanting to take power away from the police?
The issue has been played as a racial one. Those opposing carding claim that some ethnic groups have been targeted by police.
In my opinion life is simple. So why complicate it? If you have nothing hide you have nothing to worry about. I would actually welcome being carded as I would know the police have me in their records in case of emergency and or actual incident. Those opposing carding play the race card when they should be gathering their race types and educate them on portraying to the general public a less of criminal element.
Let’s be real. If you look like trouble. Trouble will find you. Black/white/green or purple. I am against taking away police tools to keep us safe. It is not about freedoms and rights. It is about being responsible and protecting the community from those that look threatening. We in North America are playing a dangerous game. It appears that it has become chic to oppose police. It appears that every time an officer makes a mistake for whatever reason. The media is quick to create a sense of injustice and hysteria. This is wrong. We forget that police officers have one of the toughest jobs. They go out there day in and day out and have to face some of the most disturbing situations. From a mere traffic stop, that could cost an officers life. To murders and riots. What is going to end up happening is we are going to turn our police services from serving and protecting to answering calls to pick up pieces. No officer wants to discharge their weapon. No officer wants to take people into custody. Circumstance/timing and environment play a key role. By adding the fear to officer of legal persecution ontop of loss of life and possible liability. What we will end up getting are competent cops leaving the force. This forcing the police services to lower the standards even more to fill the gaps. This producing what I call ‘THIRD WORLD COPS’. Cops with little or no education. Limited training, that are willing to work for next to nothing and are dispensable.
With our population on the rise across North America. Crime is and has become more a priority. Policing is the key to keeping our societies civil. By weakening the power of the police we are weakening our safety. I personally think that they should be teaching at schools respect for the police and what to do when an officer approaches. On the other side of the coin. I think police officers need to get more training in how to cope with stress and situations that put them in extreme duress to make extraordinary decisions. I do not think that if an act by police is intentional and out of malice and or with some sort of personal agenda should not go reprimanded. Simple rule you break the law you have to pay. But as society we must be sensitive to the profession. I say if you have nothing to hide. Why oppose carding? We need to keep the criminals and those with intent off our streets.

“I live a dream in a nightmare world”

Exposing Democracy

The Soviet Union fell and if in The United States things don’t change fast you could see the fall of it soon. From the corrupt systems that govern us to the social changes that are being forced upon us. The writing is on the wall telling us that it is about to crumble and we must change now or else face the consequence of an antiquated ideology that must be either upheld or completely overhauled.
No matter who you support. America is in trouble. On the Democratic side you have a candidate that is the epitomy of everything that is wrong with America.
Hillary Clinton a careered politician. A member of the upper class. Has served in some of the highest offices of the land and has proven to have changed nothing. If anything proven to be a good soldier in maintaining the status quo. A status quo that is made up of cronies. With the mentality that if we all take a cut we are all in support of whatever agenda any of them can come up with. From trust funds to elaborate foreign agreements and deals. It appears that it is not about the people of the land but about the individuals in power assuring they fill their pockets while in office. I can’t understand how someone like Hillary can stand at her rallies and spew that she champions the lower and middle class. Yet, during her terms in office all she has truly pulled for is the preservation of the ‘CLINTON’ name and reputation. A name that for her is a ticket to the white house. The way I see it. She is a hypocrite… She has not failed the people of America. The people of America are failing to see through her deception.
The Democratic party much like the Republicans have become entrenched in their ways. The so called parties have institutionalized to such a degree that they have lost their original philosophical purpose and are out only to serve their financial best interests.
This can be seen on both sides of the political spectrum. As Trump has said many times. ‘The system is broken’. America does need to be made great again. A complete overhaul is needed in order to preserve and in part save the integrity of DEMOCRACY across the planet.
As per definition: “Democracy is a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections”.
How can this stand to be true when modern day democracy is highly based on money and power. Candidacy is reserved for those with substantial wealth and closed to those that democracy was set forth to empower, primarily the middle class and poor.
The only choice that the common person has is to conform and fight their way up a bias and corrupt system or allow the influence of power sway their opinion to vote one way or another. Is this real democracy or a fabricated tool to control the masses under the disguise of a political ideology and social fairness?
I say corrupt and bias system because unless you know someone or have some super talent that is needed by someone your chances of moving up the social latter are pretty slim.
In today’s world education is not enough to get you in office. It is not what you know but who you know and this is wrong.
Look at the embarrassment of the Republican party in the United States. Donald Trump an outsider from the social system. Never truly accepted as one of the elites. A self made man. All of a sudden using the raw principles of Democracy and single handed rocked the Democratic establishment, exposing them for the greedy self riteous pompous asses they are.
Trumps success is something to be admired. He has accomplished to truly represent the core values of Democrats and bring back the democratic hope to the common folk. Trump has said many times that he is not a politician. Instead he is in part the champion of the people. A living testament that the American dream is alive. For that you have to give him the respect he deserves.
Democrats and some Republicans are quick to point out the harshness in Trump’s approach towards running America. To how un-political he is. That is his strength. That is his appeal to the voters and that is the charisma that is making unbeatable.
No matter what he says or does. The people recognize themselves in him and the support only grows stronger.
Look at the list that is circulating of non Trump supporters from within the Republican party itself. That should be a testament to the realities that the party is nothing but a very exclusive club where you do as your told. Act as expected or else. In the Trump phenomena, the Republican party has been caught with their pants down. Instead of showing the true colors of the party and no matter who the candidate is unite.
No, instead they choose to divide and further prove that the Republican party has lost it’s way. It has lost it’s purpose and it has forgotten who they represent.
A party in principle must be united and respectful of their leadership. They must not be judgmental and or immature over the fact that they do not approve of who is leading them. In a democracy, we may not support all action taken but we must respect the fact that the majority have had a chance to speak and they made a choice.
The fact that some top Republicans will not be voting Trump is hypocritical to their party and their membership. Something that needs to be addressed by the removal of any party member that chooses to insult the good name and purpose of the Republican party.
They are nothing but traitors within the ranks.
The change that Trump is bringing is one that will deal with this type of hypocrisy. This type of behavior is the core problem with America. People only supporting other if it serves their own purpose. If is within the agenda that they want to achieve. This is wrong.
When America was great. Everyone no matter race, color, gender all pulled for a common goal.
There were no treason within the ranks. When WWI and WWII the sons of Americans were sacrificed they did it with dignity and honor. We need to bring back America back to American’s. Americans that have made up a silent majority for to long and allowed a very voice minority to change the democratic integrity of what is to be an American.

Of two evils, choose neither’?

You may have seen the meme come across your social media feeds. It’s a quote by the fiery preacher and great 19th-century theologian Charles Spurgeon: “Of two evils, choose neither.”

I get it. I love reading old Spurgeon sermons and very much appreciate his godly wisdom. I’ve actually posted this quote on my own social media and felt pretty stinkin’ self-righteous about it.

Then it occurred to me. Is it really that simple? Is “choosing neither of two evils” always the right choice? Is it always the wise choice? Is it always the moral choice? What if, God forbid, something like this happened: Let’s say that devout Muslims capture you and your family, hold a gun to your head and say, “You have one of two choices: We will either behead your children, or, alternatively, we will cut off your foot, patch you up and send you hobbling along your way. Choose one. If you refuse to choose, we will choose for you.”

That’s evil. Both choices are evil. Would you “choose the lesser of two evils,” or, as Spurgeon suggests, would you “choose neither,” thereby sealing your fate and that of your children?

“But that’s an unfair analogy!” you say.

OK, I disagree, but let’s try another one.

“Imagine our two families are miles from land in a sinking boat,” writes pastor John Barber (no relation) at The Aquila Report. “Suddenly, out of the mist, come two boats to save us. One is captained by an adulterer; the other is captained by a thief. Which boat will you get into? You say, ‘Neither one. I’m waiting for the evangelical boat which is captained by a devout Christian who will end abortion.’ I say, ‘You’re kidding, right?’ You reply, ‘Both these guys are reprobates and I’m not going to choose between two evils.’”

To expand on pastor Barber’s analogy, let’s say that the boat with the thief is worse than first thought. As it approaches we immediately discover that it’s crawling with pirates and that if we come onboard, our doom is assured. This certainly limits our options, doesn’t it? What now? Does getting on board with the adulterer mean we support adultery, or does it simply mean that, despite his moral failings, we believe he’s better equipped to get us to safety?

Indeed, we are on a fast-sinking boat in shark-infested waters, and we’re miles from shore with but two boats from which to choose. One of those boats is captained by a thief and full of pirates. The other boat, while certainly imperfect and captained by a fallen, sinful man, at least offers some chance at rescue.

“But there’s a third choice!” you say.

Sure, there may be a few pieces of driftwood floating about that represent options three, four or five, but we all know that a piece of driftwood has little chance of saving our families – especially with hungry sharks circling. You may choose a piece of driftwood out of principle, but are you willing to stake the lives of your family on what you perceive as the principled stand?

Doesn’t seem that principled to me.

These are perilous times, and we’ve got difficult choices to make. When we’re sinking, sometimes God sends us a boat with a reprobate at the helm. He has a history of doing quite a lot with reprobates.

Will He this time?

God only knows.

Pray hard.

And then pick your boat.

Hillary finally gets ‘legal whooping’ she deserves By Larry Klayman ——

Hillary finally gets ‘legal whooping’ she deserves
By Larry Klayman ——
Hillary finally gets ‘legal whooping’ she deserves
Exclusive: Larry Klayman slaps Clinton with wrongful death, defamation lawsuit
It’s August 2016, presidential and congressional elections are on the horizon and the Washington establishment is generally on vacation, but I’m not. The country continues to sink into an abyss of corruption, and the “Wicked Witch of the Left,” Hillary Clinton, continues to fly around the country on her political broom, dismissing her rank criminality over her most current scandals in order to convince the uneducated masses that she should be the nation’s first female president.
I am not concerned with her politics, but I am upset at the failure of our so-called justice system to hold her to account legally for her crimes. The latest collapse of justice occurred when FBI Director James Comey abdicated his responsibility and failed to recommend Hillary Clinton’s prosecution over her criminal misuse of her private email server. This resulted in classified information about the whereabouts of Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and his colleagues, such as Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods and State Department official Sean Smith being compromised, most likely by Iranian and Russian cyber-hacking. The hostile powers, particularly the Iranians, then undoubtedly gave the coordinates to terrorists such as al-Qaida.
Indeed, after the fatal attack on the consulate in Benghazi, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told her own daughter, Chelsea Clinton, a director to the racketeering enterprise known as the Clinton Foundation (see RICO complaint at FreedomWatchUSA.org), that the massacre occurred at the hands of terrorists, not a simple video mocking the degenerate Islamic prophet Muhammad. Hillary Clinton also said the same thing to the prime minister of Egypt. Later, however, Hillary Clinton lied to Pat Smith and Charles Woods, the parents of fallen heroes Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods. When Pat Smith and Charles Woods sought to correct this falsity by disclosing publicly what Clinton had told them, she branded them as liars to further her own political and presidential ambitions.
Last Monday, the parents of Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods sought to do what no law enforcement official at the FBI or Obama Justice Department has had the honesty much more the guts to do: hold the “Wicked Witch of the Left” legally accountable. Filing a wrongful death and defamation lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Pat Smith and Charles Woods dropped “Dorothy’s Kansas house” on her by taking matters into their own legal hands. The complaint, which was later served to her, can be viewed at FreedomWatchUSA.org.
Given the frustration of “educated Americans” to Hillary Clinton’s unchecked criminality, the filing of this complaint caught the nation’s short attention span, even in the leftist media. The Democratic Party establishment went into full defamatory battle mode, even sending the political hack player Robert Zimmerman, a so-called Democrat strategist and board member of the Democratic National Committee, to defame me on “The Kelly File,” incredibly calling me an anti-Semite and other falsities, which included false statements about my professional legal career. While the stupidity of this attack was self-evident – I am of Jewish origin, an avowed Zionist and strong supporter of Israel – Zimmerman’s published slander underscored the desperation of the “Wicked Witch of the Left” and her enablers at the DNC and elsewhere. While this “loser” and Clinton/DNC shill Zimmerman, who frankly is a nobody, will be made to correct and be held to pay a price for these false statements, the real issue is the strength of our lawsuit against Hillary Clinton.
That’s because, while some have incorrectly opined that the “Wicked Witch of the Left,” as a former secretary of state, is legally immune for her acts, this is simply not true.
First, with regard to the counts of the complaint that seek to hold Hillary Clinton to account for her having called Pat Smith and Charles Woods liars, these publications were recently made while Hillary Clinton was a private citizen, not a government official. Thus, she is exposed to the legal standards for having defamed my clients while she was a private citizen, and no government immunity applies.
Second, with regard to the wrongful death claims, since she committed criminal acts in misusing and sending classified information over her private email server while secretary of state – as even FBI Director Comey was forced to concede by calling her conduct “extremely careless” and thus felonious – according to “black letter” established case law, Hillary Clinton lost any government immunity from suit.
Immunity protects public officials from personal liability only if the alleged misconduct did not violate clearly established statutory or constitutional law of which a reasonable person would have known. It balances two important interests – the need to hold public officials accountable when they exercise power irresponsibly or incompetently and the need to shield officials from liabilities when they perform their duties reasonably. (See Harlow v. Fitzgerald, 457 U.S. 800 – 1982; Pearson v. Callahan, 555 U.S. 223, 231 – 2009.)
Thus, when Hillary Clinton unreasonably, illegally and even worse, criminally used her unsecure private email server to communicate with Ambassador Christopher Stevens – revealing to Iranian and Russian spy services his and his colleagues’ whereabouts in Benghazi – she broke the law and committed criminal acts. Terrorists, who were informed of their location, then murdered them and other brave American patriots. The “Wicked Witch of the Left” thus has no immunity for her violative acts. Her time to skate from and evade the reach of the law is over, plain and simple.
In short, Hillary Clinton is now between the crosshairs of Freedom Watch’s clients, Pat Smith and Charles Woods, and “Lady Justice.” This case is thus designed to finally mete out the legal whooping that Hillary Clinton has deserved for the last many decades, as she and her husband “Slick Willy” conspired in more than 50 scandals that the Washington legal establishment simply then swept under the carpet in their close-knit club of deceit.
Let all patriotic Americans thank the parents of Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods for their bravery and resolute commitment to the principles of our Founding Fathers, who created a free nation where no one was to be above the law, not even the “Wicked Witch of the Left.”

Regional Talk
By John Mutton

To those that say that life begins at 50, I hope you are right as I am writing this on my 50th birthday.

I remember being elected to Regional Council at 31 and Elected as Mayor at 34 and leaving office at 40, I truly wish I knew then what I know now. Life experience (both good and bad) teaches us many things, humility, to always be willing to give a hand up and also a unique ability to read those whose intentions are not what they seem.

Some of my experiences and teachings have been very hard from a false arrest, to drinking too much at some times over a decade ago, to not having the ability to say no when someone needs help and sacrificing my own work-life balance. But I have learned.

I like people, I see the good in them and I like to see everyone happy and successful. I am not sure if that is a strength or a fault as we can sometimes help some that are unwilling to help themselves. If that is my weakness I will own it and the fact I was able to help some of those that came to me with best intentions.

Over on the political scene, if I ran for Municipal Office again, I would still be one of the much younger Mayor’s (go figure that one) and bring not only an aggressive skill set to advance our community forward, but also the humility of life and the benefit of 10 very successful years in the private sector.

So for my 50th birthday, I am thankful for life’s teachings, although cruel sometimes, I am the better man for them.
Till next week…

“I live a dream in a nightmare world”
BIG STAPLES TO ASK THIS FROM
OUR COMMUNITY
On the occasion I get emails that I feel I must share. Here is one of those gems:
Staples School Supply Drive begins in Oshawa in support of Woodcrest Public School Oshawa
With a goal to raise $1.7 million for students in need, the Staples School Supply Drive is in full swing at Staples locations across Canada. From now until September 13, customers can rally together to help students in need go back-to-school with essential school supplies by making a monetary or product donation at their local Staples store.
Does anyone see the disgusting corporate problem with this so generous and on the surface admirable cause?
On the surface and to the average monkey it would seem as STAPLES CANADA is going to be doing this great thing for ‘Woodcrest Public School’. I guess in part it is great as they could do as all other corporate entities and do nothing… To me this is nothing more than an insult to STAPLES customers.
Nothing bothers me more than going in to shop at a multi billion dollar company and at the register have the cashier ask if I want to donate something towards a cause corporate is supporting. If corporate supports it so much why don’t they open their wallets?
No instead they turn to their clients and ask for donations. I personally do not shop at any store that hold this policy.
It is not bad enough I am paying retail at these billion dollar companies but now I have to support their cause. Has corporate lost all of their common sense?
Well, I guess it is sensible to the STAPLES of the world as they want to make money not give it away…and what better way to make it look like they are giving back then by soliciting from their client base.
I ran for office in 2014 with the intent to rebuild our city and stop this rape and pilladge by corporations.
One of my objectives was to have corporate pay for our infrastructure. For our social services and most important for the creation of jobs. I wanted to impose a large box store tax of 5% off all sales of any store with over 25,000 sq.ft. These monies would go to support our local programs and municipal needs. I proposed to approach GM and demand a 50 million dollar a year tax for their reluctance to maintain jobs in Oshawa and slowly erode the quality of life in Oshawa.
GM has their name on our sports white elephant. Everyone thinks that GM owns the building and in reality we the tax payers that are on the hook thanks to former mayor Gray to the tune of 50 million dollars with a 1 million maintenance fee.
Yet, voters opted out for the status quo. Change will not come to us. We have to go to change.
What have we had for the last 3 years?
Finally the downtown Holiday Inn is finished. Across from the court house we have a 12 storey building being erected. For the life of me I can’t understand who is doing the thinking. 12 storey?
This is one of the biggest problems with Oshawa. We have an economic development department that has no clue on what they are doing and no real direction or leadership. We need to look at 20 years ahead. We need to look at market trends and population flow. We need to start building 30-50 storey building. Look at North York, Mississauga. We need to go out and create opportunity and change. The status quo must go.

“I live a dream in a nightmare world”

Teflon Trump
It does not matter if you support him or not. The man has proven to be very unique and special to say the least. This coming from me… Trump Casino in Atlantic City still owes me $3,500 from 1996. My views may be tainted against him but you have to respect success.
I say this because he has accomplished what no other has even come close.
He is in my opinion the American dream in living color. A man that was shone by the elite and negotiated his way to the top of the heap. Today, he sits looking down at all that snub their noses at him.
That alone says a lot.
Not to mention that he gets on stage exposes the many social taboos takes a lot of heat for it and keeps on going as if he is surrounded by teflon. Nothing seems to bother him or stick.
Trump is a self made man. A red blooded man that stands behind his convictions. A man with good solid judgement and morals.
Between, establishment Hillary and for that matter anyone of the others that ran against him on either the Republican or Democrat side I would pick Trump. He tells it like it is and represents the silent majority that due to ‘POLITICALLY CORRECTNESS’ has become the minority. Only to give rise to the minority as fallacious democratic entity. (And when I speak of minority.. I do not mean it to be racial) as the minority I am in reference to are those that scream loud and have no substance but do to the sheer number of those confused supporting them. Actually manage to change social perception.
Enough of the Philosophy… In my opinion Trump can turn out to be the biggest dud. Big talk and when he is handed the reigns to the country. He may end up out gunned and do even less then Obama.
Or on the other hand. If he lives up to his bravado. America is in for a great renaissance. ISIS is dead and the Walmarts of the world will be declaring chapter 11.
I say this because you don’t have to look far to see that most of the products sold in Walmart for example come from China.
I think the first wave of attack from China is going to be. The Chinese will stop exporting into the U.S. or increases prices phenomenally. In part that is good for the U.S. as competition would be even out.
Already the free loading countries of NATO are bitching over the fact that Trump is threatening, “Pay your fair share” or else the U.S. is pulling out. I think Trump is on the money there.
Why should the U.S. have to go in and rescue or fight wars that there is nothing in for the U.S.
Personally for the longest time believed and still do that if we send our troops to any country. If we are successful in the conflict that Canada should either take that country and deem it another Province or charge for military services.
We go into countries rich in resources to fight civil wars and what do we as a nation get? Body bags. I say make them pay. Every soldier that sacrifices his life or is injured over seas should automatically get or at least their family 1 million dollar, death do to battle 10 million dollars.
No instead we send in our men and women and when they return they cost every tax payer millions in rehabilitation.
Making America right is the way to go. Taking America back is the only way to go.
We should do the same in Canada. Wait someone hit me with their purse. We have Trudea.
A leader with no political savvy. No business experience. The question is how did he get in?
Oh yea he is a pretty boy with Trudeau surname.
Maybe we should change the way we conduct election in Canada. Instead of political signs with candidates wearing their best church clothing. We should have them posing in speedos… or something simillarly clavy… but wait then we be insulting our Muslim brothers even though our LGTB community would see it as a positive exhibition of acceptance… Ok let’s get out of the deep end and back to Trump. Trump the Stump for the moment appears to be the anchor that America needs. Time will only tell if he actually is gold or if he only shines like it…
